Grow with Google Phase 1 Experience 🦋

It all started in December when I was using Twitter and was just scrolling down some new feeds as I used to do in my normal days. I saw one of my friend (Abhijeet Singh the one who always inspire me :))retweeted about this scholarship program which then I checked, followed the link, and had filled up the form, at that time I had never thought that I’ll get selected.

Now, Let me introduce myself:

Hello, I’m Archana Kumari pursuing Computer Science Engineering from AIMT, Greater Noida. I am an enthusiast and passionate to become a Full Stack Web Developer. It’s a dream for me to be a part of Google, and Udacity is a platform. For me-

D-day: Acceptance E-mail

In the first week of February, When I was scrolling through my emails, I got a mail about scholarship in Udacity’s Grow with Google Challenge. It’s one of those moments where I was a bit wonderstruck and moments later overwhelmed by joy.

When I saw the confirmation mail I was shocked and surprised that it's me who got selected(limitless happiness) and suddenly my brain had too many tabs to open.

I believe in that good things coming.

14th Feb:

Yeah! Its Valentine's day, the best and the happiest Valentine's day ever for me not because of a relationship with bf 😉 but because of my upcoming relationship with Google, and then I got the second mail from Udacity to join the classroom.

I scrolled through that mail and at last, clicked on the ENTER CLASSROOM. I was extremely happy to be a part of Google Udacity Scholarship Challenge, I clicked on the view course and then the thoughts in my mind were-

YOU CAN & YOU CAN TOTALLY DO THIS.

Slack & Udacity Forum Day:

Next day, when I opened lesson 1 which was related to the Important details about scholarship through this lesson i joined the slack but forgot to join the Udacity forum(unlucky me). It took me two days to be friendly with slack. But honestly, when i joined the slack the question stuck in my mind,
Is this community really important for me to complete my course, Is really worth to join slack and udacity forum?

When I got completely friendly with slack(our workspace) & with the slack members, then I realized how much the slack is important, some of them became my good friends. Now, I am happy to interact with them.

I really appreciate the “FrontEndIndiaScholars” community members who have always been there to guide me. They helped me a lot in completing my scholarship course program. I would also like to thank Akshit Jain(@akshit.udacity) sir & Iip Permana(@iip.udacity) sir for #live_sessions & #ama-sessions to clearing all of my doubts.

After 1 month of joining slack, I joined Udacity Forum and the one thing that came in my mind was- I missed so many important resources, information but my slack friends helped me a lot. THANK YOU SO MUCH- TO EACH AND EVERYONE!!

I’ll always remember you all.

Course Completion:

I didn’t schedule to complete the course, rather, I used to learn every day, take an active part in slack and forums to check on updates and sessions. Most importantly we all members of the workspace were so excited to check the #announcements channel. It took around two and a half months for me to complete the course. I felt so happy and blessed.

Don’t Quit Just Do It.
